Geospatial Analyst

Main duties and functions:
Actively participate in geospatial data collection (determine the correct and valuable datasets, collect data from disparate sources, validate, manipulate);
Build and parametrize GIS applications;
Design, build and maintain geographical databases and geocoding applications;
Set up and drive geospatial analyses;
Prepare geospatial sources for visualization and tracking for transport strategy & planning team;
Interact with data scientists to understand traffic simulation model (incl. machine learning and optimization models);
Support software development and deployment lifecycle and usage of cloud technologies.
Key skills required:
Degree in geospatial analytics, geo-informatics, quantitative science (data science / statistics / operations research) or computer science/ IT;
2+ years of experience on similar positions;
Good knowledge of GIS software and mobility planning & simulation tools, like PTV and Aimsun;
Expertise in spatially referenced data structures, and geospatial and relational databases;
Good knowledge of network and routing algorithms;
Knowledge of Python (or C/C++) and Java Script (preferred);
Fluency in visualization software for geospatial applications;
Good knowledge of transport and mobility industry perspective and ability to translate business problems into data solutions;
Strong ability to visualize data and present the analysis outputs Scrum / Agile methodologies.
